Emily Schindler
To me, the best way to create a sculpture is to work with the nature of the stone. It enables me to follow the contour of the stone and find total freedom of creation, and to change instantly if a stone becomes brittle or faulty. On the other hand, for a specific commission, one would have to find the perfect stone to create the image desired. And at times, that task to find the perfect stone can be quite a challenge. Challenge has always been the driving force in my life. Every stone for me is a new challenge of mind and nature combined
