Canadian Sculptures' Society

George Kassabian

Artist Statement
1999 became a turning point for me. The inner logic of my artistic quest brought me back to Armenia till my recent return to Canada.

Combining stone and metal, I feel an inner harmony while achieving both an inner organic integrity and outer visual harmony of material interaction. My interest in sculpting materials lies within the non-conventional from volcanic tufa stone to balanced constructivist works incorporating industrial chains.
