Artist Statement

My welded steel figures evolved from my large figure drawings.   I simply pulled them off the page constructing the lines with steel strips.  Once the steel strips were bent to the necessary shapes, I welded the three-dimensional lines.  Painting the linear figure a matte finish and woodcarving has brought me back to my early days of art-training in Barcelona, Spain.
