Artist Statement

My post graduate program focused on the study of nature: portriature and undraped studies of the human figure. Female fertility goddesses from ancient cultures have always fascinated me and my early sculptural focus was on the the female figure in all phases of life.

Being back in Canada, and surrounded by nature in Northern Ontario, there is evidence that I am experiencing a transformational process. In readjusting to my new surroundings I find myself moving in a new sculptural direction.
