Artist Statement

“Mixing speed into power in order to get rid of the stability of power alone, and giving it movement – relating to mythological symbols and figures to modern day, intertwining both timelines, and putting together past and present through sculpture is my purpose. In doing this, choosing stone and metal is my way of welcoming another powerful matter in this creation.”

My current work was nspired by the strange power of the black panther, which symbolizes the courage, the challenge, beauty and the grace that are some of great characteristic that describe us as humans. Black panthers are strong and flexible, just like us capable to adapt, persevere and conquer any obstacles in our lives.
