PETER WIRÜN

Biography

Wirün was on the Faculty of the Graphic Arts Department at George Brown College until he retired recently. His freelance work included computer graphics and corporate design. Concurrently, he worked on mixed media sculpture projects. His clay and ceramic work is included in many private collections. He was elected into the Sculptors Society of Canada in 2009. He currently works and resides in Toronto.

Artist Statement

My most recent work demonstrates a re-visitation to the old school days where art had a more academic and realistic bent. This path allowed me to search for and experiment with other materials such as clay, metal, wood, cement and plaster.  My current works in clay as well as large wood structures focus on the human condition.
