Since early childhood I have been fascinated by faces and their power to convey the strength of character, different feelings, and moods. My prime interest in the traditional bust and the female torso inspire my creations.
Stone lies close to my heart. I love working in stone, and old stone in particular has been my passion and inspiration for many years. It comes from the rich European tradition of my childhood, growing up among the remnants of ancient cities in Hungary, and from my adult meanderings down the 2,000-year old roads of Ephesus in Turkey, and among the grand architectural ruins of Italy and Greece. For me, these stones resonate with history. They are in my blood.
