Founded by some of the most prestigious sculptors in Canadian art history, the Sculptors Society of Canada has been exhibiting and raising the profile of sculpture in Canada for more than 90 years.
Current Exhibition
The Sculptors Society of Canada is a charitable organization of professional artists who have completed their art training and are working as sculptors. Jurying of membership takes place annually. The purpose of the SSC is to perpetuate the original mandate which was implemented more than 90 years ago:
To raise the profile of Canadian sculpture nationally and internationally
To foster and nurture young talent
To educate and evoke dialogue among the art and non-art community
To cultivate and encourage a progressive contemporary visual language
